Music

Music is one of my passions. I write, perform and record music on a regular basis, mainly with an acoustic or tri-cone resonator guitar.

I have spent time playing in rock, blues, samba and jazz bands, as well as doing teaching and session work, but play music purely for pleasure now.

Open Mic Phenomenon

Open mic nights used to be a fairly rare pub activity, the exclusive preserve of songwriters and folk singers. Now, with the smoking ban in full force in England, pubs are letting musicians through their doors in droves creating an almost continental feel to your night out.

As well as attending open mic nights, I've been running a monthly session in my local tavern since the summer of 2006.
