Feb 2010 - NoTanx Freediving

During the cold winter months I decided to get back in the water with NoTanx, a London based freediving club. The one day training session introduces you to the techniques of freediving, including breathing, efficient movements and safety. I was amazed to be holding my breath for over 3 minutes at the end of the sessions and now regularly terrify the lifeguards at my local swimming pool by disappearing for long periods of time under water.

Jan 2010 - Phrase Detectives

Work with the Phrase Detectives game continues and we have just collected over 1 Million annotation decisions, a collaborative effort of over 1900 hours. The crowd-sourcing methodology has been shown to produce high-quality results and we are hoping to extend this project to new annotation tasks.
