Sometimes referred to as Clownfish, there is nothing funny about Anemonefish during mating season. They can be extremely terratorial and they will protect an area of up to 2m from the host anemone, even attacking divers who get too close.

Finding Nemo

The 2003 blockbuster movie Finding Nemo featured an Ocellaris clownfish and is highly regarding by divers for its animation of the underwater world. Unfortunately its success prompted widescale demand for anemonefish as pets in salt water aquariums, despite it being portrayed negatively in the film.
